Profile & heritage

Engr. Professor Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, FNSE is the second substantive Vice-Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi State. A distinguished scholar, accomplished administrator, and seasoned engineer, his career reflects decades of dedicated service to higher education, engineering practice, and national development.

He hails from Ihima Kingdom (Adi Oyiye of Ihima) and has received academic training from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi; and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Expertise & contribution

With over two decades of professional experience, Professor Salawu has contributed significantly to industry, research, and academia. He rose to the rank of Professor of Materials and Metallurgical Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, and has served as Head of Department, external examiner, and accreditation panel member.
