CUSTECH Osara VC Joins Other Nigerian Vice Chancellors on a Study Tour in Dublin, Ireland
The Vice-Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, FNSE, has joined other Vice-Chancellors from across Nigeria on a Study Tour and Knowledge Exchange Programme at University College Dublin, Ireland.
The programme, organised by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU) and themed “Education Without Borders,” held from June 22 to June 26, 2026.
The international engagement brought together Vice-Chancellors, university administrators and higher education experts from Nigeria and other parts of the world to exchange ideas, share experiences and explore emerging trends shaping global higher education.
The study tour provided participants with the opportunity to examine innovative approaches to university governance, research collaboration, internationalisation, curriculum development, digital transformation and sustainable funding models for higher education institutions.
Speaking on the importance of the programme, Prof. Salawu noted that the knowledge and experiences gained during the exchange would significantly benefit CUSTECH, Osara. According to him, the insights acquired would be adapted and implemented to further strengthen the University’s academic programmes, enhance research output and improve institutional effectiveness.
The Vice-Chancellor stressed that the exposure to global best practices would enable CUSTECH to consolidate its position as one of the fastest growing universities while producing globally competitive graduates capable of addressing contemporary societal challenges.
He further stated that the international knowledge exchange aligns with the University’s vision of fostering innovation, advancing cutting-edge research and contributing meaningfully to sustainable national development through quality education.
