Councilors from Adavi Local Government Pay Courtesy Visit to CUSTECH Vice Chancellor
On Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, eleven councilors from Adavi Local Government visited the Vice Chancellor of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH) Osara, Engr. Prof. Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu.
The delegation was led by the council leader, Hon. Yusuf Elizabeth Onozare, who represents Adavi Eba Ward , with the primary purpose of expressing gratitude for the Vice Chancellor’s support during the recent local government elections.
In his response, Prof. Salawu warmly welcomed the council members and offered sage advice. He urged the newly elected councilors to maintain the trust placed in them by their constituents and to approach their roles with selflessness and dedication.
Highlighting the significance of their grassroots position, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the councilors’ critical role in bridging communication between the government and the people.
He specifically advised them to support the ongoing efforts of Kogi State Governor, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. John Alaji, the university Bursar, and Builder Ismail Ibrahim Adoke, Director of Physical Planning and Development.
The Vice Chancellor expressed joy at receiving councilors from his own local government, Adavi LGA.
